Silver Medal Award Nominations Open Now Through 4/28

AAF Fort Worth is thrilled to announce the return of the AAF Silver Medal Award after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nominations are open from Friday, April 7, 2023, to Friday, May 5 at 5 p.m.

Established in 1959, AAF's Silver Medal Award Program recognizes men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry's standards, creative excellence, and responsibility in areas of social concern. Annually, clubs across the country bestow this national AAF honor upon outstanding members of the local advertising community. The AAF Silver Medal recognizes the lifetime and ongoing contributions to the advertising profession.

Submission Requirements

Nominators can submit one application per nominee. Criteria for selecting the nominee include:

• Contribution to His/Her Company: The recipient must have achieved success in one of the following areas of work: advertising agency, advertiser, media or advertising service.
• Creative Ability: The recipient must have shown a consistent high degree of original thinking in their field.
• Contributions to the General Advancement of Advertising: The recipient must have worked to increase the stature and raise the standards of the advertising profession.
• Contributions to the Community: The recipient should be someone who has been active in civic, religious, or other groups dedicated to human or social welfare.
• Service to the American Advertising Federation: The honoree should have demonstrated a long-term commitment to the local American Advertising Federation chapter. Service to the corresponding AAF District and AAF National further solidifies the depth of service.

Award Judging & Program

After nominations close on Friday, May 5, a panel of past Silver Medal recipients led by this year’s Silver Medal Award Chair, Keith Powell, will evaluate the nominations with the intention to honor a new Silver Medal recipient for 2023. 

AAF Fort Worth will host a Silver Medal Award luncheon this Summer in honor of the 2023 awardee. More details will be released at a later date.
